ASME SB622 HASTELLOY C276 Nickel Alloy Steel Heat Exchanger Tube , Power Plants
ASME SB622 HASTELLOY® C-276 tubes are premium corrosion-resistant components designed for critical heat exchange applications, combining robust mechanical properties with exceptional durability in harsh chemical and thermal environments.
HASTELLOY C276 provides exceptional resistance to a wide range of corrosive substances, including chlorides, acids, alkalis, sulfur compounds, and more. This makes it highly suitable for applications where equipment is exposed to aggressive chemicals, acidic environments, or high-salinity waters.HASTELLOY C276 offers superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC), which is a key consideration in applications where the material is subjected to both mechanical stress and corrosive environments.
Primary Elements:
Nickel (Ni): ~57% (balance)
Chromium (Cr): 14.5–16.5%
Molybdenum (Mo): 15–17%
Tungsten (W): 3–4.5%
Iron (Fe): 4–7%
Impurity Limits:
Carbon (C): ≤0.01% (minimizes sensitization during welding)
Silicon (Si): ≤0.08%, Manganese (Mn): ≤1%, Sulfur (S): ≤0.03%
Cobalt (Co): ≤2.5%, Vanadium (V): ≤0.35%
Corrosion Resistance:
Excellent in both oxidizing and reducing environments.
Resists pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking (SCC).
Performs well in sulfuric, hydrochloric, and acetic acids, chlorides, and sour gas (H₂S).
