Monel 400, also known as Alloy 400, is a nickel-copper alloy known for its excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of environments, including seawater, hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid, and alkalis. It also has good mechanical properties at sub-zero temperatures and up to 538°C (1000°F). Monel 400 is highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking and pitting in most fresh and industrial waters.
